I got the idea from a news article I read. In February 2020, the temperature in Antarctica exceeded 20 degrees for the first time. In addition to melting glaciers, more and more waste pollution is flowing into the sea. I want to express my idea that people should protect nature and those living things from harm. I sketch elements and color test. Based on references, I drew elements that might appear in my final work, such as gas masks and ice cubes. I found some photos in my research and drew them down, and I developed the colors in those drawings for color testing. Quiet and desolate, the polluted city is no longer a warm home. The sky was grey and there were abandoned buildings everywhere. Upstairs, the penguins look out the window, nostalgic for the good old days. Because my nickname is penguin, too. So it’s a combination of a true story. The contamination led to a situation similar to real-life Chernobyl.
