My name is Zhuosi Meng. The title of my project is ‘The tear of the Bionic Man’. In this story, the main character is a bionic man whose owner suffers from schizophrenia. During their time together, the bionic man can quickly and accurately analyze the cause of the owner’s tears and outline solutions. At one point his master tried to kill him, but the bionic man ended up killing him. The bionic man cries at the end, but was unable to analyze the reason.  I was inspired by Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049, in which the bionic man cries uncontrollably after killing a human. Some of the audience think the reason for the crying is that the bionic man’s emotion at killing his creator. I want people who saw my work to think if the reason for the bionic man’s tears was an emotion or statistical calculation. I used watercolor to draw this manga.
